There’s still time to come in and check out the “Tech Petting Zoo”! What is that, you ask? A fun way to learn about some of the tablets and e-readers that are out on the market today. Want to try one out before you purchase your own? Come visit us Saturday, July 25th or Tuesday, July 28th to look them over. Sit in one of our comfy chair and play with them for a bit!
And on Tuesday, July 28th at 6pm, you don’t want to miss the live demonstration of a 3-D printer!! It is amazing to see what this machine can do! Jared Leadbetter, from the Maine State Library, will be answering any questions you have about the printer, the tablets or e-readers, or any other tech-related question you might have.
The 3-D printer as well as the tablets and e-readers are on temporary loan from the Maine State Library.
We will be closed Saturday, July 4th, in honor of Independence Day!
Did you know you can find a delicious, hot cup of coffee at the library every Saturday morning?
Books AND coffee, now there’s a great start to your day!
Just a reminder, we will be closed this Saturday, May 23rd, for the Memorial Day Weekend.
Also, thank you to all who showed up for our Book and Bake Sale. It was a GREAT success and we appreciate your support of the West Buxton Public Library!
With warmer weather comes more venturing outdoors. Come in and check out these Maine Coastal Public Access Guides we just got in.
“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in–what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”

So, I’ve been posting lots of new books and audiobooks that we’ve been adding to the library lately. Well, now I’d like to introduce some fun children’s books that I’m adding to our collection. These were a favorite with my children and I was surprised we didn’t have any of these in our collection before. I needed to remedy that! Mo Willems writes wonderful, silly stories about a pigeon who doesn’t always like being told what he can and cannot do. I highly recommend these simple, fun books for your children. Here are the ones I’ve just added to our shelves:
